1+8=9 for me!

Over the last few days I have completed 8 more Star Blocks for this month, bringing my total to the 9 pictured below. These are fun blocks to make and I restricted myself to not cutting into FQ's or yardage but using scraps only. I've learned that rotary cutting uses abdominal muscles to some extent, less so if done sitting down....I'm still a bit sore, but doing so much better one month out from the surgery. Still a few more weeks of restricted lifting to avoid a hernia, but I'm starting to do a bit of housework including laundry and hanging it on the line, but the kids get to carry the baskets for me. Tomorrow I get to go grocery shopping, as I can drive now (my 17 yr. old son has been taking care of that for the past month). And 33rd Anniversary date with DH tomorrow night

  1. Nice blocks ... and I'm so impressed that you didn't cut into any FQs even. It sounds like you are feeling a lot better (but still probably pushing yourself too hard ;-) Thanks for the update.

I didn't realize your anniversary was this week ... how odd is it that mine was, too--we not only share a birthday, we almost share a wedding anniversary? If I were still married, it would be 32 years for me.

I've updated your blocks on the list. We now have a total-so-far this month of 126 stars.
