Playing with the Leftover Bits

Tic-Tac-Toe PostcardsI started playing with the pieces that I trimmed away from my blocks and made these smaller, rectangular Tic-Tac-Toe blocks.

They're USPS regulation postcard size: no smaller than 3.5 x 5, no larger than 4.25 x 6 (from the USPS site). I think they could make some happy mail.

Of course, they'd also be fun to use in a small wall hanging or table runner or tote bag.

As usual with quilting–the possibilities are endless ;-)

  1. They are wonderful! This block has been a lot of fun to make. I will be finishing my quilt top using this block and a libereated setting tonight. I will post a picture of it tomorrow.
